#bowlift #spiccato

            The bow lift in this variation occurs at the end of the measures with eighth note rests. For example, at the end of the first measure, move the bow to the upper half, and at the end of measure two, lift it to the lower half. At the end of each slur be sure to stop the bow close to the ideal bounce point in the bow for the spiccato notes after the slurs. Adjust the bow speed of each slur accordingly to accommodate this important step. Each of the separate notes should occur at the same point along the bow. Only the slurs are to vary in their starting point. The spiccato here should be a jolly stroke with a slight brushed quality while retaining a quality core to the sound.
